Choosing Tackle
At Angling-School we can supply all the tackle and bait you need for whichever type or style of sea angling that you wish to learn. So whether it is beach casting, floating, spinning or boat angling, you can try before you buy. We have a wide range of rods and reels so that you can discover which models suit you best.
We can also teach you to tie your own rigs and advise you on which to use to target particular species, or to just enjoy the fun of scratch fishing.
Once you have tried various types of tackle and styles of angling, we can then advise you on the purchase of tackle that suits you for the type of angling you want to pursue within your budget.
Specialist shops, such as the Tackle Box in Falmouth, offer a wealth of information. Not only do they stock a wide range of tackle, but they are staffed by experienced sea anglers. They also act as weighing stations, and usually know what has been caught and from where, so you have up to date information. They are also the best source of fresh and frozen bait.
Our aim is to give you an excellent start in the wonderful world of recreational sea angling. But be warned, this pleasant hobby can become a thrilling obsession and specimen hunting or competition and match angling can take over your life.
